Human Vehicles

Scorpion Tank

Weapons: Machine Gun, Cannon

Occupants: 2

The Scorpion tank can now be manned by two people. One to drive the tank/use the cannon and the other to use the turret. If only one person is operating a tank they can use both weapons but not simultaneously.

 

Warthog

Weapons: Guass Cannon or Chaingun

Occupants: 3

The Chaingun Warthog is the most popular vehicle in Halo 3. The Guass Cannon Warthog is equally as powerful but is found much less throughout the game.

 

Mongoose

Weapons: None

Occupants: 2

The Mongoose is the fastest way to travel in Halo 3. The passenger in the back seat is allowed to use weapons.

 

Hornet

Weapons: Missles, Machine Guns

Occupants: 3

The Hornet was introduced to counter the Banshee. Although it is slower then the Banshee, it can hover and move backwards.

 

Elephant

Weapons: Machine Gun Turrets

Occupants: 3*

This vehicle is essentially a mobile base. The only place that it is found is on the multiplayer map, Sandtrap.

*The Elephant is by far the biggest of Halo 3 Vehicles. There can be two players on machine gun turrets and one driver. You can have many more people inside along for the ride or defending against opponents.

 

Covenant Vehicles

Chopper

Weapons: Mini Cannons

Occupants: 1

The Chopper is good for destroying enemy vehicles. You can use the four mini cannons or ram your opponents vehicle which also does a significant amount of damage.

 

Banshee

Weapons: Fuel Rod Cannon, Plasma Bolt

Occupants: 1

The Banshee is a fast way to travel across a map and has powerful weapons to destroy any opponents along the way.

 

Ghost

Weapons: Plasma Bolt

Occupants: 1

The Ghost is great for splattering people and traveling to your destination safely.

 

Prowler

Weapons: Plasma Turret

Occupants: 4

The prowler can transport four people while providing some light offense.

 

Wraith

Weapons: Plasma Turret, Plasma Mortar

Occupants: 2

The Wraith is good against defending all vehicles including Scorpion Tanks.
